ULTRA PREMIUM, ORGANIC, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL OF THE “MANAKI” & "KORONEIKI" VARIETIES (BLEND).

At the 2019 ATHENS FOODEXPO, we launched our second organic, extra virgin olive oil label under the brand name “TERRA ANOPAEA”.

 

It is produced by green olives of the ancient Greek “MANAKI” & “KORONEIKI” varieties (blend) collected by hand & branch-shaker machine, from our mountainous, organic, regenerative, unirrigated and unsprayed, family olive grove and processed together.

 

Our olive oil is “cold” extracted solely by mechanical methods, unfiltered and bottled by physical flow, in numbered bottles.

 

Its color is light green.

 

It is a very fruity olive oil with its fruitiness between 5-6 on a scale of 0-10.

 

The natural aroma of fresh olives is combined with natural herbal notes (oregano, thyme, rosemary etc.), cool natural smell of freshly cut grass, green fruits & vegetables (green tomato, green tomato leaves, apple, artichoke) and citrus flowers.

 

Because of the inclusion of the “KORONEIKI” variety into the blend, “TERRA ANOPAEA” is a spicy olive oil (with its bitterness between 3-5 on a scale of 0-10 and its pungency between 4-6 on a scale of 0-10) but, with balanced aftertaste where elements of nuts (green almond, pine seeds), ripe-tropical-dried fruits (banana, figs, pineapple, strawberries etc.) & spices (black pepper, cinnamon) can be recognized.

 

Of course, all these mainly depend on the weather conditions of the months before harvest & harvest time.

 

“TERRA ANOPAEA” can perfectly accompany many Mediterranean dishes, seafood and fish, grilled meat and poultry, freshly cooked pasta & legumes, while lifts off fresh salads, sauces and dips, adding to all of them additional spicy elements. It is another culinary tool for those who want to add extra spicy elements onto their gastronomic compositions.

Since its launch, “TERRA ANOPAEA” has been awarded the following awards:

 

1) GOLD STAR at the LONDON “GREAT TASTE AWARDS”, that was held in London 2020/03-08,

 

2) SILVER MEDAL at the “LONDON 2020” INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION, that was held in London 2020/06/13-18,

 

3) SILVER MEDAL at the “PREMIO BIOL IOOC 2020” INTERNATIONAL ORGANIC OLIVE OIL COMPETITION, that was held in ITALY, BITTONTO 13-18/03/2020,

 

4) BRONZE MEDAL at the “KOTINOS 2019” INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION, that was held in Athens 2019/03/17, at the category “ORGANIC OLIVE OILS-Medium Intensity”,

 

5) BRONZE MEDAL at the “LONDON 2019” INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION, that was held in London 2019/04/14-16,

 

6) It was selected among the TOP 50 Greek olive oils for 2019 & 2020 by the Greek magazine “OLIVE FRUIT – ΕΛΑΙΑΣ ΚΑΡΠΟΣ” at its 11/2019 & 11/2020 editions,

 

7) HONOURABLE MENTION at the “KOTINOS 2020” INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION, that was held in Athens 2020/03, at the category “ORGANIC OLIVE OILS-INTENSE FRUITNESS”.
