GOLD STAR FOR “TERRA ANOPAEA” AT THE LONDON “GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2020”!!!

In the middle of the preparations’ period for the beginning of the 2020-2021 olive harvest, another award distinction for “TERRA ANOPAEA” arrived, closing that way the circle of the previous 2019-2020 olive harvest. Our organic, extra virgin olive oil “TERRA ANOPAEA” was awarded a “GOLD STAR” award at the international tasting contest “GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2020”!!!

The contest is taking place every year in London, the world gastronomy capital. It is organized by “The Guild of Fine Food”. The contest awards “GOLD STARS” to food products with excellent taste. The “GOLD STARS” are similar to the Michelin stars for the restaurants. “The Guild of Fine Food” and the “GREAT TASTE AWARDS” are points of reference for the gourmet food and the contest is referred as the “Oscar Taste Awards”.

This year, from March up to the end of August, more than 500 specialized food tasters, tasted the 12777 participating food products, from 109 countries all over the world, through a “blind” tasting procedure, that helped them decide which products are eligible for the star awards.

Participating for the first time at the contest, our label “TERRA ANOPAEA” (a blend of the MANAKI and KORONEIKI Greek varieties) was awarded a “GOLD STAR”, a distinction that very few Greek olive oils have achieved up to now. Taking into account the previous distinctions that our label was awarded during the contest year 2020 (SILVER MEDALS at the LONDON 2020 and BIOL 2020 International Olive Oil Quality Competitions), then “TERRA ANOPAEA” is certainly a prestigious member at the club of the elite, organic, gourmet olive oils, making our efforts and dedication to quality worthwhile.
